Carlsbad Caverns Big Room: A Hidden World

Water slowly dripping onto limestone for over 500,000 years has created beautiful cave formations.

Some formations are ornate and delicate. Others are massive.

Stalactites grow down from the ceiling. Stalagmites grow up from the ground.

Amazingly, the temperature remains constant at 56 degrees Fahrenheit.
