What is the Grand Canyon like in December?

AMAZING

NO CROWDS

You feel like you have the whole place to yourself.

No one there to get in the way of that picture you always wanted.

Elk are often spotted in the parking areas.

You can take your time on the trails and enjoy the view.

When no one is behind you, there is no rush. Walks are so peaceful and quiet.

The very popular Bright Angel Trail has WAY less people so you don't feel scared walking along the edge.

You can take your time on the 3 mile round trip hike into the canyon.

Make sure you stay until sunset.  There will be plenty of spots to sit and enjoy every second.

The sunsets over the Grand Canyon in the winter are not to be missed.  They are masterpieces.
