Trying to be in Washington, DC, for peak bloom presents serious challenges.

Cons - Planning

Tourists pack the city during this time. It is nuts! The traffic is terrible, and pedestrians are everywhere.

Cons - Crowded

People are all fighting for the same space to get the same shot.

Cons - Difficulty getting great photos

Every other cherry tree was the setting for a personal glamour shoot

Cons - Annoying photo shoots

Hotels and flights warmly welcome you with higher rates for transportation and lodging.

Cons - Higher travel costs

Weather at this time of year can be unpredictable. It can get cold. Rain or snow is certainly possible.

The museum cafes typically close around 4:00 or 5:00. If you despise food trucks, welcome to your nightmare.
