WHAT Makes These 3 National Parks So Unique

Since 1916, the National Park Service (NPS) has been responsible for preserving and caring for America’s national parks.

The National Park System comprises 425 national park sites, spanning over 84 million acres.

There are some national parks that are more unique than others.

Isle Royale National Park, Michigan

Gates of The Arctic National Park, Alaska

With no roads, trails, or campsites, visitors have to fly or hike into the park.  It is an untouched wilderness.
