Best Lodging in Twin Falls, Idaho (And Nearby Towns)

Visit Idaho recently invited Julie and me to explore its South Central region. We expected to enjoy the region’s natural wonders, but we were delighted with our lodging in Twin Falls, Idaho, and other nearby towns.

Julie and I enjoyed staying at five unique accommodations during our week-long journey. Each one, with its distinct charm, offered us a new and exciting experience.

Our only regret is that we did not get to spend more time at each location. Check out our suggested lodging in Twin Falls, Idaho, and other southern Idaho towns.

The Fillmore Inn Bed & Breakfast is a classic brick Tudor-style home minutes from the breathtaking Snake River in Twin Falls. Julie and I loved everything about this place. Our gracious hostess, Denise, respected our privacy but was helpful when we had questions about the area, providing excellent details and tips.

The Fillmore Inn has a rating of 9.8 out of 10 on Booking.com. Everything is clean and comfortable. Guests have access to the main living room with books, movies, and a large-screen television. The Fillmore Inn has convenient private parking in the alleyway behind the inn. There is a private patio where you can peacefully relax, watching the squirrels and birds. Inside, the home has period furniture and lovely antiques. It is a warm, inviting place, the perfect escape.

While breakfast is provided, all rooms have access to the dining room, where you can grab a coffee, tea, or snacks anytime. Denise provided us with a plate of delicious, fresh-baked cookies each day. Our first morning, we departed early to drive to Craters of the Moon before it got too hot. Knowing we would miss breakfast, Denise prepared a bag of goodies for us to eat on the road. She made stuffed French toast with fresh mulberries from her yard the following day. It was outstanding.

If you’re considering a visit to Craters of the Moon, don’t miss our planning guide — it includes practical tips, must-see stops, and everything we learned along the way to make your experience even better.

La Quinta

If you are looking for reasonably priced and comfortable lodging in Twin Falls, Idaho, consider La Quinta Inn & Suites. Julie and I feel the property is a notch above most standard chain hotels.

The modern lobby includes a fireplace, making you feel right at home. La Quinta’s rooms feel brighter, cleaner, and more spacious than many other hotels. The property has a parking lot, fitness center, pool, and hot tub.

La Quinta has a complimentary breakfast buffet. You should find plenty of tasty options for everyone, even if you have a picky eater in your travel group. Conveniently located, you can easily access attractions like the Snake River, Perrine Bridge, and Shoshone Falls.

Hagerman Valley Inn

Hagerman, Idaho, is a small town, but it is a paradise for those who love outdoor adventures. The area offers hiking, fishing, birding, and waterfall chasing. You can even soak in a hot spring to relax after a long day.

Due to its location and top-notch customer service, there is no better place to stay in Hagerman than the Hagerman Valley Inn. The friendly staff can help you plan your adventures or find your way. Hagerman Valley Inn combines rustic and modern elements in its clean, cozy rooms. Outside, you will discover two decks and a patio comprising three firepits and two grills. Sitting under the string lights as the day gives way to a peaceful night sky is a treat.

The inn is next door to the Snake River Grill, serving delicious homestyle breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From the inn, you can easily access some of southern Idaho’s unique parks, like Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument and Thousand Springs State Park.

Almo Inn

To truly appreciate nature’s solitude, head to Almo, Idaho. Rugged mountain terrain dominates the landscape under a vast, peaceful sky. At night, billions of bright stars sparkle in the black sky. It is a getaway in every sense of the word.

The Almo Inn is the perfect place to stay in Almo. It feels like a trip to the Old West, where log cabins have been modernized yet still maintain country flair. Everything is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Do not fret. Almo Inn has WiFi if you want to stay connected. Just be sure to bask in the mountain views during the day and under the stars at night.

The Outpost Steakhouse sits across the parking lot and is open for lunch and dinner from May through October. It specializes in burgers and steaks but serves other dishes as well. The restaurant has an Old West theme and is fun for the entire family. You can order room delivery breakfast from the Outpost Steakhouse, but you must place your order the night before. Options include pancakes, French toast, and biscuits with gravy. It is nice to wake up in a cabin and have breakfast prepared for you.

As always, location is critical. The Almo Inn also wins here, conveniently near the City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rocks State Park, famous for rock climbing and hiking. Hotel 43

Boise, Idaho, feels like a major metropolitan center after visiting Almo. The city offers many unique things to do, from touring the state capitol to viewing murals along Freak Alley. Boise boasts a vibrant art scene and an excellent culinary and beverage scene. For those who enjoy nature, the Boise River Greenbelt is a 25-mile tree-lined bike path peppered with riverside parks and urban wineries.

Local spirit and community take center stage at Hotel 43, which melds luxury design and boutique style. The hotel proudly displays local art and offers complimentary passes to the Boise Art Museum upon request.

Hotel 43 may seem like an odd name, but it is intentional. Idaho became our 43rd state in 1890, and Boise sits on the 43rd parallel. It is also a prime number. To that end, the hotel takes pride in being singular and offering an unparalleled experience.

Hotel 43 is conveniently located in downtown Boise so you can walk to many restaurants and attractions. The property is clean and comfortable. Everything feels modern and luxurious with a fun, hip vibe. Guests have access to the fitness club and spa. Each morning, you will find whole fruit, locally made muffins, sustainable drip coffee, and hot tea in the lobby.

While Boise provides access to metropolitan exploration, Almo and Hagerman yield outdoor adventures in uncrowded parks. Twin Falls delivers adventure along the Snake River and easy access to many other parks and attractions in the southern part of the state.

Julie and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring southern Idaho and the region’s fantastic accommodations. Although each place above is quite different, we loved them all and would happily stay at any of these again. Whether you want a rustic, remote cabin or a luxurious boutique hotel, southern Idaho has a place for you.
